1 Corinthians 15-16

Resurrection is a saving issue.   You have to believe in it or you are not saved...bottom line.  This is an absolute non-negotiable.  When Jesus rose from the dead, he presented himself to eye-witnesses.....Peter, the disciples, more than 500 Christian believers, James, all the apostles and Paul himself.  It is a fact..

Jesus had to be raised from the dead...he was the "first fruit" of those that were dead to come alive.....Jesus conquered death, our final enemy.  The last stage of it will be at the second coming when all the dead believers are resurrected.  No more death, no more pain.  The resurrection body will be different than what we have now.  Paul equates it to a seed that "dies" in its original form and life comes from it in a different form.  No mortal can inherit eternal life.  God has chosen to leave some mystery to the resurrection body.  We will be imperishable.

Paul talked about collecting money for the church in Jerusalem where people were struggling.   He told Corinth to accept Timothy and make him at home.   He encouraged the Corinthian church.

With Paul's final greeting, he moved away from dictating to a scribe, and wrote his own final greeting to show that the letter was really from the apostle and not a forgery.
