David goes to Nob to escape. ahimelech allows him to have consecrated bread...the priest put David's needs ahead of religious ceremony......Jesus will later refer to this to show that God's laws should not be applied without compassion....Ahimelech gives David Goliath's sword....David fled from Gath to a cave in Adullam.....his leadership comes into play as he organizes a band of outlaws.....Saul has the priesthood murdered because they helped David...only Abiathar escapes.....David takes the blame and inquires of God what to do and God delivers the Philistines to David....Saul pursues David into a cave and David could have killed Saul.....David chooses not to because he respects the divine placement of Saul....Saul apologizes and gets an oath from David not to kill is descendants....who needs soap operas????? We have enough drama right here in the Bible....
psalms for tomorrow...
The center of the Bible is Psalms.....they are songs and prayers that express pretty much every emotion...Psalms has 5 books.....BOok 1 is Psalms 1-41:13 and it mirrors Genesis...book 2 is Psalms 42:1-72:20 and mirrors Exodus......Psalms 73:1-89:52 mirrors Leviticus.......Book 4 is Psalms 90:1-106:48. Which mirrors Numbers and finally Book 5 mirrors 107:1-150:6 which mirrors Dueteronomy
That's a Man of War jelly fish.....do you feel like Leviticus is DEEP.....lots of rules. Lots of Law....God is teaching the people how to approach him....Hang in there....
Look what comes up from the depths of the sea.
