1 Samuel 1-3

We open this book to where Israel has been ruled by judges for over 200 years...Hannah is one of two wives and has had no children...Hannah wants a child so bad she goes to the temple and Eli the priest thinks she is drunk.....Hannah explains her fervor and Eli tells her to go in peace.....Hannnah will dedicate any child to the Lord and it happens with her son Samuel. Eli the priest has wicked sons that have no respect and there is a prophecy against them..

The Lord calls Samuel directly and reveals himself to Samuel on a regular basis.
