A short read today.....The Psalm is about unity.....just like what the Israelites were feeling at the crowning of David. You remember that everyone was doing as they pleased during the period of Judges. This did not bode well for the Israelites and it was not what God had intended for them. This is also one of the Songs of Ascent in which the people would sing this on the way to the temple for the Holy Festivals (they just don't have a temple right at the moment)
Do you think the church is living in unity now? Does unity mean that everyone has to agree. What are your thoughts about unity on this day that the U.S. Retaliated and killed Osama for the terrorist acts of 9/11?

As far as ben laden, I feel the country in in unity in agreement to the act. No, everyone does not agree, but I would bet a HUGE majority is together on this. I do believe our church overall is in unity as far as the ideals and beliefs of the church and goals of individuals and thoughts of who is our God and what HE has done and will do.......I think we as individuals are at various degrees of closeness and praying and understanding.....but we all are in UNITY in knowing there is a God and HE died for US. and HE will be back!! that is unity for Christians....
ReplyDeleteAttack on Bin Lade....it's about time and I am SO GLAD he died by our hands than by a disease or his own hand. I'm glad WE got him.....Is that a wrong view for a Christian to have? To me, he is pure evil and SATAN completely.....and something like that must be done away with.
I think unity in anything can have people disagreeing or different opinions or thoughts....but to have unity.....people must share the very basic ideas, thoughts, and beliefs.....feel a sense of belonging.......have fairness.......and understanding for difference of opinions and thoughts on the topic.......But still share the BASIC and main ideas.
