Job 35-37

I am tired of the speeches.
Part of me is probably feeling just a tad bit guilty, because I wonder if I dig my heals into what I believe is true understanding when it really isn't?  Now, I know that the Holy Spirit was not in man at the time of Job....He existed, but he was not in man like he was when Jesus ascended into Heaven and left us a Counselor.   I consider myself  blessed that I have the Holy Spirit and can experience conviction......I hope I listen, because I know I have ignored it before and that doesn't feel good.

What are you all getting from the dissertations?  If they are in the Bible, they are there for a reason!

God is coming tomorrow in a whirlwind, and I can't wait!

  1. I am also getting tired of the speeches.....it seems they are just arguing back and forth.....I am not sure what to think.....I do like the following verses 36 5

    Behold, God is mighty, but despises no one;
    He is mighty to strength of understanding...

    God does love all, and forgives us for our sins....we know this now, but did they at this time? That does not mean God accepts all our behavior and all will go to heaven, we have to know him and act as he wants us to. We have to follow his rules and laws.

    do the people at this time think that those who have power and riches are blessed by God and those that have tragedy are punished by God? Elihu say that thethe oppress are given justice and are on the throne with kings.......and shall spend their days in prosperity and years in pleasures........We know obedience does not always bring properity and pleasure....but I think they thought this at this time......Am I following this right?

  2. I think you are following it exactly right...they thought that prosperity was a sign that God was looking on them with favor...and surely you were doing something wrong if bad things were happening to you.....apparently they thought that obedient people didn't suffer.
