Job 21-23

The good news is that this is the third and final speech that Elpihaz makes....he just can't shake his belief that suffering is God's punishment for evil deeds.

Do you think that we ever get stuck in wrong theology?

It is so important to know what is in the Bible.....but it can't be just "head" knowledge....it has to be applied.....thank God we have the Holy Spirit that can help us do this....our spiritual eyes can be opened with the Holy Spirit's help.....the Bible was written for you and me....that is for our times, too.  Application is key.....

  1. Yes, I agree.....you have to apply the knowledge, not just know it. Job seems to know what God wants and has lived his life by this and still has had tragedies and problems. But he still believes and trusts in God and stands by his life.

  2. I like what Job says in verses 7-34. We often ask the same thing today.

  3. Yes, it is hard when the "wicked" seem to be prospering, and if we are trying to be good and we have tests, it doesn't seem fair right up front. When you are in the middle of something hard, it is tough to remember that God is in control of the plan....in fact, Satan hopes that you don't remember.
