The King can't sleep (the Lord is keeping him up, don't ya know) and he wants the chronicles of his kingdom to be read to him....He sees that nothing was ever done for Mordecai discovering the conspiracy against him. The king calls Haman (who just happens to be waiting around) and asks Haman how he should honor someone. Haman vainly thinks it is him, and describes honor that makes him almost a king. The king replies, "Good idea, do it for Mordecai" and Haman is humiliated in his own mind.
Esther, biding her time, invites Haman and the king to a second banquet. At this time the king wants to grant a request and Esther accuses Haman of the plot to anhilate the Jews and admits she is one...Xerxes is so bad he walks to the garden. Haman realizes he has no chance left and begs Esther for mercy. No man is allowed to be with the Queen by himself and Xerxes walks back in and flips his top. Note the eunach that suggests the gallows...where have you seen him before?
The King is not allowed to change any of his orders once he stamps them, but this time he allows the Jews to bear arms and defend themselves. God helps the Jews win. The celebration of Purim (the lot, which is how Haman decided on the days of execution) is how the feast is named. Mordecai is promoted and is the second greatest man in all of the kingdom. Yep, God is all over this book!
That's a Man of War jelly fish.....do you feel like Leviticus is DEEP.....lots of rules. Lots of Law....God is teaching the people how to approach him....Hang in there....
Look what comes up from the depths of the sea.

My Bible says that God often uses a restless spirit to get our attention. The king had a restless spirit and called for the book of records and then discovered that Mordecai had earlier saved the king's life. It says that when you have this restless feeling, stop and ask the Lord what he is trying to tell you. Spend more time in reading the Word and prayer.
