Assyria is coming...."an eagle over the house of the Lord" referred to them attacking Israel and the people would go into captivity...this is because they broke the covenant. Do you remember what that covenant was?
God loves Israel....God points out their sin through Hosea...He is angry at how they turned away from Him...but in the midst of this...look at !3:14.....this is a promise you need to record....
I will ransom them from the power of the grave
I will redeem them from death.....
What does redeem mean? Buy back....pay the ransom......here we are in the Old Testament and God is teaching just like He does with us....
Look at chapter 14...if you repent, you get a blessing....God wants us with Him....
