In his heart a man plans his course,
but the Lord determines his steps.
And the "famous" proverb:
Pride goes before destruction
a haughty spirit before a fall.....
Pride is a hard one...it is when we think we know best...in the midst of it all, we might not realize that we are experiencing pride....they don't anticipate stumbling blocks that might make them fall....Good question to ask...who is getting the glory?
There is a way that seems right to a man,
but in the end it leads to death....
yep, eternal life or death? Your way, the world's way, or God's way?
That's a Man of War jelly fish.....do you feel like Leviticus is DEEP.....lots of rules. Lots of Law....God is teaching the people how to approach him....Hang in there....
Look what comes up from the depths of the sea.

I highly encourage you to stick with it, If you read the Bible, you are going to mine some real jewels and insights.
I am seeing some sayings here that came from the Bible and I didn't know it.....
ReplyDelete13:24 "he who spares his rod hates his son, But he who loves him disciplines him promptly."
14:23 " In all labor there is profit. But idle chatter leads only to poverty."
One verse I like is 14:30 " A sound heart is life to the body, But envy is rottenness to the bones." Jealousy will basically destroy your soul and you should be happy in your heart with god, not with material things that you are jealous of.
Another one I like is 177:1 "Better is a dry morsel with quietness, than a house full of feasting with strife." It is better to not have much and be at peace in your house and with God than to have a lot through a lot of wrong doing and problems in you life and not have God in your life.
One that made me giggle was 17:28... "Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace; when he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive."
Another one I like is 19:15... "Laziness casts one into a deep sleep, and an idle person will suffer hunger." WE should be productive and use our gifts from God. We should be productive in our family, community, life, etc.
Yep....17:28 kind of sums it up, doesn't it?
