Acts 24-26

Paul now has his trial before Felix, the governor...this is the same position that Pontius Pilate held when Jesus was accused....major similarity!   The Jewish accusers finally arrived, and Paul was able to refute the charges and send the gospel message.   Paul talks about self control to Felix, who had taken another man's wife: Drucilla, as his wife.  Pretty dern disgusting, huh?  Felix lost his job and was called back to Rome, and we meet Festus.   The Jews whined to Festus about Paul.  Paul pointed out that he had a right to be heard by Ceasar since he was a Roman citizen.   Festus thought this would be a marvelous way to get Paul out of his jurisdiction and pacify the accusing Jews.  Festus consults King Agrippa who is part of the Herod family.  He had married Bernice, his sister:  gag...Again, Paul presents the gospel and sadly, Agrippa says:  Do you think that in such a short time you can persuade me to be a Christian?    So many people are like that today!!!    Agrippa decides that Paul has done nothing deserving of the accusations and he could have been free if he had not appealed to Cesar.   However, God has plans for Paul and the delivering of the gospel
