Woe to those who rely on Egypt...the Lord delivered the Israelites from Egypt and specifically told them not to go back. (See Deuteronomy 17: 16-17) Making any kind of alliance with them was completely against God's command...Isaiah tells the people to return to God and that He Himself will take care of Assyria.
Isaiah prophesies about the Kingdom of Righteousness...Jesus will rule....we will have the Holy Spirit in our hearts
Then the eyes of those who see will no longer be closed,
and the ears of those who hear will listen.
The mind of the rash will know and understand,
and the stammering tongue will be fluent and clear.
The destroyer is Assyria and God will destroy Assyria after He has used them as a tool to humble His people. The Lord will rule His city, Zion.
God judges the Nations (non-Jews)...Isaiah referred to the prophecies that God commanded him to write down as the "scroll of the Lord". This serves as a witness as the prophecies came true and will come true.
